This is also one of the very first jokes I wrote waaaay back when I was first planning this comic! so like, 2015 or so??

Bonus points to anyone who knows what obvious thing I'm referencing!

Edit: I'll address the dripping wet elephant in the room. Reka's shirt should have a tear in it, yes. I mentioned it to Atari (our wonderful artist!) several times but it never made it in, so I let it go. If every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn't have hot dogs! Chalk it up to lazy game developers. ;)

Obviously the burial of Aerith from FF VII, the supposedly most emotional point in the entire game...only that I was kinda 'Meh' about it.

Heh...can you actually call it 'drowning', if the person in question is actually already dead?
I think not.

And that must've been some solid amount of salt in that water, for Reka to float like that. :D

But then again, 'the dead man' is a valid swimming technique to stay afloat without expending much energy.

I assume because the idea was to make it like she never died at all, and if I am correct, she would still be with the party. One moment of time travel shenanigans later, and she's where she would have been if she didn't die.

You know, assuming I'm not completely wrong on how this worked.

It's hard to get context because it's been over a decade, but Reka's been dead in universe for what...a couple days? It's hard to gauge exactly how much time has passed...I mean, her clothes are still intact so she hasn't been at the bottom of that lake long enough to rot away at least (and they must have re-dressed her because Galgarion's flame dagger ripped her top up when he killed her.) Does this mean she can still summon up Piddo and Podder Head? Plus do they know they went back in time to save her? GAH SO MANY QUESTIONS!

I will admit, the missing tear is an artist error. I mentioned it to Atari several times but it never made it in so I let it go. XD

Reka has been dead almost exactly one day. But it feels longer, ne? ;P

Gotta use rocks because, as Tim Curry would say, they all float.
If only she was wearing heavy plate armor or wielding a giant sword, then she would have quickly sunk in the 500 feet deep water and no rocks would have been needed.
Her wounds (and shirt) were healed. That's the cannon.

Also, hell yea, Reka is back!
