I'm guessing from this point on all monsters are going to be feral animals corrupted by all this dark energy, otherwise they'll look REALLY hypocritical continuing to kill people for XP
Good Good Friday!
Cherry, if you want sense, you just need to trade in those sand Nickels, you get 5 apiece, though it's mostly just splinters at that point, not worth trying to keep track of. If you find someone wanting 'Shellings', it's the same thing.
What you really want is to bundle, trade up, get several Sand Tens together to make a paragraph, or even a whole chapter!
For a multiple-currency RPG, one of the better examples, in my opinion, was Secret of Evermore. - Each of the main areas had its own currency, but you could trade up, at a percentage, as you moved through them. It even had a market, with a number of trade goods that could be used for valuable exchange!
Back to the comic: it looks like there's at least a partial spell being provided by Tuna. Those masks don't cover the mouth or nose, and they aren't choking on water. - It's handy to have Tuna around! You need to invite her to join permanently!
I like these swimming images - Not just everyone in a standing pose. ^_^
Next to last panel: Did Hero already get a replacement weapon? or is he not using the riptide blade because it's a water weapon, and he expects to be facing a lot of water resistant creatures? (Prinny_Wizz voiced this on that page)
I suppose that would explain why the blade is mostly ceremonial now - It's lost it's usefulness since the Skuubans moved their civilization underwater.
If you're going to complain about something not making sense Cherry, it should be how you are all wearing scuba suits that are many years old and belonged to a young male and yet are form-fitting for ALL of you.
Hopefully Sid already found a bunch of them. He went over to those people over there to trade.
*squints*
Oh, those are palm trees.

I like the jokes in the last two panels.
