Well the reason we say 'male seahorses bear young' is that the 'female' is the one with the eggs, the male the one with the sperm. With seahorses fertilized eggs are laid in the male's pouch.
Skuuba with a similar make-up could have mamary glands on the males if they work similarly. That would actually make Tuna male, though.
Good afternoon! As for a map without the book - that could be dangerous. - Take the location of the grail in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. If they hadn't had the book, that place is a death trap. - Given this, they should make sure to read the context to make sure they aren't walking into a trap. Better safe than sorry.
For the map, it's interesting to see the sea serpent. I wonder if that's something they will have to face in this quest, or if it's purely decorative? Given this is an RPG, it's definitely a possibility.

Either way, I think she will be missing her time/conversation with the party. (Good rapport with both girls, and especially Reka) If I lived my entire life around people who only ever said one thing, it would be a breath of fresh air to have someone to actually converse with. (That thought actually makes the previous page's lines even more funny!) Fortunately, the 'single line' syndrome seems less common with leadership.
I wonder if they have considered inviting Tuna as an official party member? If the Skuubans want a 4th race, rather than the standard 3, they might need someone there representing them when everything goes down. On the other hand, it's possible that her position as a SMN/PRST of the Skuubans or her being merged with the lifestream Zeichnenian would keep her from coming... If that's the case, she might try to convince Reka to stay with her. A lot of this sequence tied up Reka's outstanding plot hooks, and she isn't one of the master 3(4?) racial representatives, so her deciding to stay here after they get the book might be a possibility. At minimum, she can promise to come back after the world is saved.
