#662 - This Page Does Not Pass the Bechdel Test

Hiya everyone! It’s Wednesday! (Tee hee, not really, I’m writing this on a SUNDAY! Mua ha ha ha ha.) Happy Wednesday!

I had a burrito which was delicious, and I also accidently knocked one of my coffee mugs off the table, and it shattered, and coffee went everywhere! Expected, obviously, but now my quantity of coffee mugs has been reduced to zero.

I also wiped it up but it still smells like roasted sweetness in here.

Anywhomever! I wrote and sketched out 15 pages this weekend! I... really hope you enjoy them! I’m not gonna lie! I’m ready to be out of the Skuuba arc! Haha! We’ve been here a year and 3 months! I’d estimate we’re about 80% of the way through. In the tail end of it now.

Anyway, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity released! ..... I haven’t played it yet! .... But it looks dope af!

I like the idea of Hero having a different aura. It’s mysterious. I hope it becomes a plot point later.

I'm glad you think so! Hopefully you won't be disappointed 😉

I'm excited to see the next 15 pages! I know it feels like we've been here a long time, and that is true in real life, but spending 70 or so pages in a new location isn't that crazy, it's just the one page/week thing that makes it feel so long.
As for Age of Calamity, I'm excited to play it, even though Warriors games are all dumb popcorn stuff, they are super fun. Personally, I'm just excited to see how google handles having a new AOC in the mix.

Sorry to hear about your last coffee mug.

On the bright side, you can still drink coffee.

I began drinking coffee regularly, albeit weak "farmers coffee", in... 4th-grade? For sure by 6th-grade. Blah blah health issues meant I had to give it up back in 2007 or 2008. Caffeine in general. The good news? It isn't one of those "Drink it an die!" kind of health issues, so I can risk it every now and then.

I miss morning coffee. Also, odds are this won't make you feel any better, because it is often annoying when people try to get you too focus on what you still have, instead of naturally realizing it yourself. XP

Only 1 coffee mug!? Did you just clean out the same one immediately after using it? Fortunately for you, novelty coffee mugs are EVERYWHERE.

While this page doesn't pass the Bechdel test, the comic does. Just the previous page alone passes as all Tuna and Cherry talked about was seeing auras.

I'm reminded of a line from Good Omens where a psychic couldn't see the antichirst kid's aura. Of course she couldn't see it in the same way that some dude in the middle of a city square couldn't see the entire country's border (I'm paraphrasing of course.)

Interesting that Tuna's advice is basically the opposite of Diane's.

I assume the odd aura is because of the book(s) or experiments, or the soul stealer device, but I choose to believe its because Hero has no aura because he is soul-less puppet being *directly* controlled by the player.

Even underwater we still have barren desert wastelands.
