No one every makes tortoise soup. Like how you can't go to the store and buy pork broth. You have beef, chicken, veggy and if you are lucky, mushroom broth; never pork broth.

Now you may ask how it is propelling itself. That's because it works on Mario logic. Stomp it and stand on it and enjoy the ride that never ends.

Speaking of Mario logic, it looks like that inventory screen is from Mario Rpg: one item per line, no stacking.
That or they have way more soup than I ever have of potions.

I think I can field this one: Despite what Galgarion said that battle was a set encounter and the item, "Turtle Soup" is actually a Key Item so that the player can't discard it to try and ruin this escape-the-island cutscene. Key Items are not stacked so every instance shows up individually.

I'm on Galgy's side here. Tortoises are just part of the turtle family, and that monster was definitely a tortoise. So it is technically still turtle soup, but I don't think that guy could swim.

now that he isn't evil anymore Galgarion really IS showing some more similarity to Hero. Also there are plenty of island tortoises, the Galapagos ones are easily a famous example, so that isn't even a fantasy thing, total real life representation.

Coincidence? 🤔

I think n- well probably

The item is probably called, "Turtle Soup" because of Woolseyism deciding it'd be better to go with a translated recipe anyone could understand rather than some obscure tortoise recipe that almost no American audience would understand without looking said recipe up.

Galgarion living the Shredder dream: Tonight (and possibly many nights after) he dines on turtle soup.
