I started playing the FF7 Remake on Hard Mode because I hadn’t quite had enough of it yet. The challenge is definitely ramped up, but not too bad. (... So far.)
Not much to say today. It’s Galgarion and Detestai! We haven’t seen them in a while. I like them. They’re fun.
Having played many RPGs, I can't find fault in his logic. It's just a question of which variant is at play here.
Do they get (nearly) wiped out, and have a surprise rescuer? - Either with someone joining the combat, or taking them to a safe place while unconscious.
Do they have a 'collect the parts' scenario, where they need to collect a certain number of drops to build their escape craft?
Do they just need to win this one, and use the shell as a boat?
Any way it goes: between the use of magic and the size of that turtle, this fight shouldn't last long.
For FF7, by the time you unlock hard mode, it really isn't. - at least for the first half of the game. You have high level characters, powerful weapon abilities from your first run through, and likely have your yellow and elemental materia leveled enough to make things a breeze.
First fight I've had much trouble with is the Hell House, where things can go from good to disaster in a few moments. - That said, I expect some of the latter chapters to have some difficulty just due to those expecting you to be well equipped the first time through them, using more status effects, and the level cap having been reached fairly early in hard mode.
If you are looking for a challenge, you could try running it without the pray, chakra, and elemental materia. (Possibly no pink materia either, if you're up to it) - That should provide a sufficient bump to the difficulty/resource strain. ;)
Nor would I. ^_^
I've seen some crazy things in challenge runs though, some of which make this sound like a cakewalk. FFX item only: no sphere grid, no summons, no limits, no abilities (aside from steal), no fleeing, no use of a no encounter weapon ability, no blitzball. No weapons past the opening scene. ... and yet still has at least one who has successfully completed it with video evidence.
Or the 'no damage' runs of Pokemon blue and platinum.
Some people are just crazy.
Also realizing just how impractically dressed they are for an island with nothing but sand. Way, WAY too many open areas for sand to get into.
Shame, this would have been an opportune moment for some off-screen quality-time. ;)
Nope! I just assumed THAT complaint about the sand was sans-clothes. I was reflecting that no-matter-what, it must be incredibly uncomfortable on that island for them.
