Just cause two people are on an island does not mean the sassy num nums must occur. In fact, it should be discouraged, considering it as a waste of energy and resources when both are at a premium. Plus, there is just. Sand. Everywhere.

Pretty sure the only consequence I've ever observed from an RPG is losing whatever treasure chests you didn't open forever and being unable to backtrack.
What happened to your face is probably just karma Galgarion. You and Detestai both just survived an exploding airship with nary a scratch (caused by the explosion anyway) between you two.
